Sorek was founded by brothers Jason and Jared Gourd to bring two complementary crafts, classic barbering and bespoke menswear, under one roof. The shop runs scissors, clipper work, straight razors, tape measures, and shears across one team trained to one standard. Every guest walks out looking sharper than they walked in.

Sorek Barbershop & Menswear was founded by brothers and business partners Jason Gourd and Jared Gourd. The brothers opened their flagship shop combining a traditional barbershop with a custom men's clothier. After initially launching in Houston, they expanded their operations to their Austin, Texas location.
Today Sorek is best known for two things: the standing-appointment barbershop on one floor, and the bespoke wedding work that's outfitted hundreds of Austin grooms.
